Wind aura

I heard that in yokai island they're going to add a new aura called wind. I guess it makes sense if there's going to be a bunch of dragons and stuff but it feels weird they're just gonna add a new one out of nowhere lol are we going to get a new type of aura every block??

It would surprise me if they added a new one every block as 10 is already a lot, and filling out an entirely new aura with all the cards it needs is a tall order. But yeah I think wind is still “in the cards” from what I’ve seen in the Discord.

This is sort of my feeling on the subject; ten is a LOT, and the prevalence of dual-aura really suggests that they are meant to be a common thing - it feels like it would take a while for Wind to catch up, especially as they seem to like to have fairly equal distribution of types.

I also feel split on the even/odd thing; 10 aura types means you've got an even amount of aura types to play/sort with, but with neutral, it's technically 11 - wind would mean we have 12 mono-aura card types overall. On the other hand, if you're sorting cards and you choose to put neutral and dual-aura cards into their own category, that still leaves you with an uneven amount of types.

... Which isn't a serious problem, it's just that I sort a lot of cards and find that uneven amounts of types throws me off. You always end up with a half-empty box or something.

Maybe wind will just be a special aura type, like it's only available for the yokai block as a dual aura. Aren't they doing that with fusion aura?
